On Tuesday, September 17th in the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome a special guest, Father Vladislav Brokeš, at the regular meeting of the Abraham club community. We had actually been looking forward to him since spring, when we celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the Abraham club in April. Father Vladislav could not come to the celebrations for work reasons. In a video greeting from Rome, he promised us that he would visit us in person at the earliest possible date. And that date arrived on that September day. It was a very nice and pleasant afternoon that many parishioners were looking forward to. We began with a Holy Mass, which was concelebrated together with Father Jenda. It was another celebration for us, attended by almost as many people as on Sunday. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the musical accompaniment of organist Jana Dytrichová and the singing of members of CHJ. We also thank them for this service.
Then we moved together to the meeting at the deanery, where the program continued according to the long-established order. This includes an introductory welcome, birthday greetings to the celebrants of the respective month, a song, and then the invited guest finally takes the floor. This time it was Father Vladislav, who again captivated us with his entertaining commentary on the construction and architecture of the parish church of St. James the Greater and, of course, about the Church of St. Barbara. On behalf of the Abraham club, L. Moudrová thanks you.
