Gift for Father Jenda

If you haven't submitted your paper for Jenda's album yet, you have the last opportunity until Sunday, August 31. Thank you for your understanding. Below you will find the way and instructions on how to create the album.

We believe that despite the short time Jenda spent here, he met many of us and was a part of our community and families. We would like to prepare a gift for Jenda in the form of an original photo album filled with memories, messages, gratitude, pictures from the children, or photos created by families, communities, or individuals that could remind him of the time spent in our parish.

Below you will find the way and instructions on how to create the album.

Photo Album for the Ústí Parish

This is not a classic printed photo book, but a photo album that will not only contain photos but also handwritten notes, drawings, messages, memories, thanks, etc., prepared by individual families, households, or communities.

Practically, this means the following:

  1. Each family, household (also reach out to your grandparents) or community that wants to participate in creating the gift will pick up 1 sheet of special paper (which will be the connection of the entire work) in the church, size A4 with prepared perforations, so that we can finally insert them all into decorated covers. The orientation of the paper is expected to be landscape. You can collect the blank sheets after services in the church on Sundays during June and July. Your family can fill the sheet on both sides, and you can decorate it according to your imagination – see point 2. You may fill out more than one sheet.
  2. Gather as a family and consider what you would like to communicate to Father Jenda, what to thank him for, what memories to bring up, and what experiences you have shared. Children can draw a picture, parents can write a message. Take a family photo or use some from your archives and print it. There can be multiple photos, with varying sizes. Don't forget to include your names.
  3. To stick photos, drawings, and messages, use double-sided adhesive tape, photo corners, or really quality glue; TENYL has proven effective (ordinary glue sticks do not hold).

We believe that we will manage to create an original gift full of memories and stories!

A new phase of his pastoral service will begin in mid-September, but we hope to have time for a final meeting and farewell on Sunday, September 14. We would like to present the gift this Sunday. Thank you very much.
