On Saturday, September 13th, we set out with the parish for the planned Jubilee pilgrimage. We chose the date long before we learned about Jenda's relocation, and we had no idea that it would be a weekend associated with farewell. With more than a hundred people (two buses and two cars), we departed in the morning from Ústí. We were accompanied by rainy weather on the way, but when we arrived at Saint Hostýn, it cleared up enough that the umbrellas could comfortably stay in the buses. There were some daredevils, led by Father Jenda, who got off the bus a few kilometers earlier to walk at least part of the pilgrimage on foot, even in the foggy and rainy weather. The rest of us took the ride up to the top, and during the free time before the Holy Mass, some enjoyed coffee, others took a walk, or engaged in prayer. Just before noon, we celebrated Mass in the basilica with our priests, accompanied by the CHJ choir. For reasons of space, we divided into two groups for lunch. For those interested, Father Jenda arranged a climb to the bells and the tower, which many gladly took advantage of. Around three in the afternoon, we took a photo on the stairs and walked the Stations of the Cross created by Dušan Jurkovič. After praying the Stations of the Cross, we headed back to the buses and set off on our journey to return home in good time. On Sunday, we are expecting a farewell with Jenda and another parish program associated with it.
