During the autumn holidays, an intensive training session for us singers from the CHJ choir took place in Kutná Hora, as we are preparing for the accompaniment for the Stations of the Cross and one Mass during the National Pilgrimage in Rome (Jubilee 2025) in the spring. We already started rehearsing now to sing together as much as possible and strengthen our team spirit.
And we really worked hard: during 3 days we dedicated more than 14 hours to singing while practicing all kinds of compositions. There were definitely about twenty-five pieces. We also participated in holy masses, and for example, we were fully responsible for the Sunday mass regarding singing and playing.
It was warm and cozy at the Kutná Hora archdeaconry—just like the reception from Father Vladislav, our fabulous "all-inclusive" meal was provided by our chefs Jenda and Petr. Also, Vláďa made time for us in his busy schedule and prepared an absolutely fascinating experience for us - an evening tour of the St. Barbara's Cathedral with the organs and outdoor galleries.
We returned full of impressions and gratitude for the well-spent time, and we thank Kutná Hora very much. You, dear Ústí parishioners, please pray for us.
